Coaching for Developing and Retaining Great Leaders

With a unique understanding of human behavior and orgainzational excellence, SHAMBAUGH's coaching services enable individuals to accelerate their leadership effectiveness while they attain both personal and professional services.

SHAMBAUGH’s coaches are all experienced business executives who are also certified coaches. We provide results-focused coaching for emerging leaders as well as for senior level executives through both individual and/or team coaching arrangements. Rather than relying on a quick fix or offering an off-the-shelf solution, our experienced coaches and executive advisors develop a comprehensive understanding of their coachee’s goals, needs and opportunities in the context of key business objectives and personal growth. This approach allows their coachees to gain a greater sense of self-awareness and to target specific areas in which they focus short term “experiments” that will move them closer toward achieving success as they have defined it for themselves and their organizations.

Our researched approach to coaching, coupled with confidentiality, guides leaders to think strategically and systematically to enhance their impact on people, processes and performance. Our coaching helps individuals to:

Individual Coaching

We begin by recommending a coach whose business experience, coaching style, and personality match the leader’s needs and goals, and who can guide them through an effective coaching process that includes:

  • Building the foundation
  • Understanding the issues
  • Putting coaching to work
  • Developing an action plan
  • Measuring continuing performance

Team Coaching

SHAMBAUGH’S coaches also work closely with teams on a variety of issues that include:

  • Managing change and reorganization
  • Clarifying roles, responsibilities and boundaries
  • Communicating effectively across the organziation
  • Resolving conflicts collaboratively
  • Creating a coaching/mentoring culture

Through team coaching, leaders and team members benefit from an objective, results-focused forum for addressing critical organizational and/or team issues. Sticky Floor Coaching

Our coaches are also certified in coaching to the Sticky Floors, as described in Rebecca Shambaugh’s book, It’s Not A Glass Ceiling, It’s A Sticky Floor. They are experienced in diagnosing Sticky Floor issues and in helping coachees avoid them or get “unstuck.”

There are two options for these coaching services:

Sticky Floor- Assessment and Consultation

SHAMBAUGH will administer a targeted assessment on the Sticky Floors for you and then one of our certified coaches will meet with you for approximately two hours to explain the assessment results and provide specific recommendations.

Sticky Floor- Strategic Coaching

SHAMBAUGH also offers longer term, four to six months, of strategic one-on-one coaching based on your Sticky Floor Assessment as well as your other leadership development needs and objectives. Our certified coaches will work with you to analyze your assessment data and develop specific strategies to help you advance your career and enhance your leadership capacity. Your coach will interview others in your organization to provide you with additional insights and will provide you with tools, techniques and resource material to advance your understanding. Along with focused observations and case study discussions, this comprehensive coaching experience will be transformational.
