Shambaugh Presents at CEO Forum: What Keeps Them Up at Night in Today’s Environment

The changing business landscape has created a new level of complexity for today’s leaders.  There are new demands, challenges, and opportunities that successful leaders will learn how to address and capitalize on for enhancing their organization’s success, as well as their own effectiveness as an executive.

This timely and engaging forum brought together successful CEO’s to capture their great minds and connect perspectives, experiences, and share common dilemmas for leading now and in the future. Participants explored the following questions:

  • “What are the new challenges for today’s leaders?”
  • “How can leaders bring value to today’s uncertain and complex environment?”
  • “Are you personally stepping up to your full capacity of leadership?”

Shambaugh reinforced the importance for executives to have their own “Personal Board of Directors,” who they can tap into for addressing the new and complex challenges they face every day.  Several quotes from this forum include:

  • “In today’s economy you need to know what you don’t know. No one knows it all.  Find experts to bring you the information you are lacking.”
  • "Transformational Change: There is a demand for change.  Everything has a lifespan.  If you’re not creating new things, you’re a stagnant organization.”
  • “It is critical to own who you are.  Thought leadership is your own branding that is strategic for you and consistent with your company/organization.  Have one “significant something” that you have carved out for yourself.”

Client Testimonial:

"Marriott’s Women’s CEO Executive Forum was a tremendous success, and that is due in large part to Rebecca Shambaugh. When organizing an event for CEOs and Executive Directors of major Associations, ensuring high ROI is critical. The content Rebecca delivered coupled with your knowledge, experience, and expertise was a home run. We could not have executed this without you.  I look forward to working with you in the near future."
