The librarians at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library recommend the following books:
"It's Not A Glass Ceiling, It's A Sticky Floor" by Rebecca Shambaugh. The concept of the glass ceiling has long been thought to be the reason why there are few women in top level executive positions. However, Shambaugh argues that the explanation has more to do with the behavior of female middle managers, and is therefore within their power to change. She describes such behavioral traps and provides exercises and self-appraisals that will help readers recognize and correct ones that might be impeding their career advancement.
