Navigating today’s changing environment not only requires steering clear of the traditional organizational barriers but also recognizing that many of us are being held back from career success by what Rebecca Shambaugh labels as the sticky floor. The sticky floor concept describes what SHAMBAUGH has learned during 16 years of research and gender studies. Rebecca’s research has identified seven key areas that people unknowingly believe or demonstrate that can be self-limiting for their overall career effectiveness and advancement.

In this engaging session, participants will explore in detail one of the more challenging and timely sticky floor themes - Making Your Words Count. This topic is one of the most requested by SHAMBAUGH clients. A major interest here pertains to speaking up in meetings and influencing others – both in meetings and one-on-one.
