Biography

Paul has over 15 years experience, has led more than 1,000 workshops and seminars and has had audiences ranging beyond 10,000 attendees. His negotiating seminars have received excellent marks from private industry, government, and professional organizations for their high level of enthusiasm and real-world results.

Paul’s experience also includes 11 years at the General Electric Company where he negotiated both domestic and multinational business deals for GE. His responsibilities included managing worldwide contractual and pricing relationships with distributors in 23 countries and managing the alternate channel marketing and sales organization. He negotiated reseller and agency agreements with companies ranging from the relatively small entrepreneurial firms to Fortune 100 companies.

Paul brings a wealth of knowledge to his training programs including expertise in marketing, sales, procurement, IT, legal, finance, pricing, and business development. This includes a successful background in providing consulting and delivering workshops to both the private sector and the federal government. He also has a broad understanding of U.S. and international marketing and distribution channels.

Paul has traveled extensively in the U.S. and overseas. He has delivered negotiating programs and worked in Europe, Brazil, Australia, Far East, Canada, and in the U.S. In addition to his seminar duties, Paul worked as the lead negotiating consultant to a major consortium in the U.S. that specializes in business-to-business commerce. His private sector experience spans all major industries, including healthcare/pharmaceutical, financial/mortgage, manufacturing, consumer/retail goods/products, hotel, IT/telecommunications, insurance, a wide range of service sector clients, and many others.

Paul’s other business activities have included being President and Vice President of a real estate firm in the Washington D.C. area, as well as a volunteer consultant to the Junior Achievement Program where he taught business courses at local high schools. Paul earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and his MBA from the Darden Graduate Business School at the University of Virginia. He lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and two children. His extra curricula activities include bicycling and running.
