Biography

Maureen has more than 30 years of experience in organizational change, executive coaching and line management and has been associated with SHAMBAUGH since 1988. Maureen’s main objective is to assist organizations in adapting to change whether driven by growth, retrenchment, a new stage of maturity, competition, the need for a new culture or integration of newly acquired/merged companies.

Maureen partners with CEO’s, senior executives and cross-organizational teams to lead the design and implementation of complex organizational change efforts. Her approach to change focuses on the implementation of vision and strategy in the leadership, processes, structure, systems, and culture of the organization. Maureen’s consulting activities include: executive coaching on leadership and change, executive team consensus-building, and organizational and cultural transformation.

Maureen spent 18 years in sales and management with IBM. As Director of Consulting and Services in the Mid-Atlantic area, she was responsible for running a $200 million consulting operation. She was Director of Business Process Re-engineering with responsibility for implementing new operational processes for improved profit and customer satisfaction across a 3,500-person organization. She was recognized for her success and selected to participate in an international effort to introduce similar operational changes in IBM Europe and Asia.

Maureen’s line executive experience combined with her skill in the design and implementation of organizational change has made her a valuable contributor to client organizations. She has been recognized with several corporate awards for results in team leadership and effectiveness in a 6,000-person organization.

Maureen serves clients mainly in the high tech industry. These include, but are not limited to: Nortel Networks, IBM, SAIC, BTG, Marriott Corporation, Freddie Mac, TRW, Intelsat, MedImmune, and Department of Interior.
