Leadership and Organizational Development

Lynette Demarest is Director of SHAMBAUGH’s WILL (Women in Leadership and Learning) program and provides support in the areas of Leadership and Organizational Development. With over three decades in the field of training and development, she has extensive experience working with the private and public sectors, international organizations and federal agencies. She designs, develops and delivers training; develops and conducts organizational needs ass essments, designs and conducts performance based Ass essment Centers; identifies core competencies (sales, customer service, management/leadership), provides Executive Coaching, and assists in the implementation of major organizational change initiatives.

Lynette was Manager of Global Training for GE Information Services where she developed and implemented training for teams in the US, Europe, Asia and South America. In this position, she received the highest award given by GE for successfully implementing a world-wide Sales Development Program which later became a GE Best Practice.

Lynette also worked at the GE corporate level to bring the change management processes of Work-Out and the Change Acceleration Program (CAP) to the GE businesses as well as to their key clients.

Lynette has consulted with a broad spectrum of clients including: The International Monetary Fund, GE Capital, GE Insurance Solutions, International Atomic Energy Agency, International Labor Organization, MedImmune, MCI/WorldCom, Accruent, Software AG, Commonwealth Telephone Company, VALOR Telecommunications, US Healthcare, MITRE Corporation, DoubleClick, Oracle, SI International, Freddie Mac, and LORE International Institute. She is well versed in designing and delivering a number of leadership development programs in multi-cultural environments across the globe.

Lynette received her BS and M.Ed. degrees from The Pennsylvania State University. She has an additional 60 hours of graduate credits from The University of Maryland and Loyola University.

When Lynette is not working in McLean, she enjoys entertaining her husband, Ted, at her home in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. On an ideal weekend, she can be found down on the dock, sipping a Cosmopolitan and reading a good book.
