Cynthia Ingram is an Executive Coach and Senior Consultant for SHAMBAUGH. With 20 years of leadership experience and a passion for helping people exceed, Cynthia works with senior executives to design and implement solutions to accelerate personal and business performance. She helps them lead and thrive through major organization and marketplace change, business and cultural transformation, and complex political dynamics. On the more personal side, she can enhance executive presence and style and coach leaders to communicate with impact and clarity.
Cynthia is a 26-year veteran of IBM and has a unique blend of strategic and operational experience along with broad skills in team building, customer insights, operational efficiencies and employee morale building. Cynthia’s time at IBM included executive positions in sales, corporate relationship building, marketing programs for hardware and software products, complex project management in software development and systems integration and international client sales and support. Her IBM contracts group had a 70% win rate, while the industry average was below 50%, and the contract values ranged from $5M to $1B.
Cynthia has been a very active volunteer and coach for faculty members at the Virginia Tech Equine Teaching Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia. She is active in the technology and the higher education community and is focused on making a positive impact on people and organizations. She is a member of the Board of Advisors of Capital TechSearch, an IT staffing company and a 2008 and 2009 Inc 5000 company, and serves on the Council of the Virginia Tech Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center. Cynthia also serves as co-chair on the Virginia Tech Women and Leadership in Philanthropy Committee and previously served in various capacities for the Federal Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) and the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC).
Cindy has a dual BS degree from Michigan State University in Psychology and Criminology. She resides in Potomac, Maryland and is married with four step children and six grandchildren. She enjoys horseback riding and competing at amateur levels, along with golf, gardening, cooking and entertaining.
